Why we love it

Bannisters’ newest hotel is a return to the bespoke simplicity of their brand roots… Rediscovering and restoring a much-loved Salamander Shores location into a stylish boutique getaway, recalling the sunny day holiday vibes of the sixties and seventies.

Bannisters has preserved the bones of an iconic retro motel and built in its place a vibrant four-star hotel experience in a classic destination.

Surrounded by water, koala habitat and a sense of peace and seclusion from hotel to horizon.

Food

There are 3 spectacular places to satisfy your hunger at Bannisters Port Stephen, whether you want to enjoy the Incredible seafood simply prepared in the Rick Stein kitchen at the well known “Rick Stein at Bannisters” restaurant, or if you like your beer cold and your beer gardens warm - then the Cheeky Dog is the spot for you.

The Terrance bar is also the spot to be with a delicious range of fused Mediterranean and modern Australian dishes, The Terrace is the perfect way to kick back and relax where the sun rises and sets over the glittering bay.
